Undergraduate Curriculum Committee

The Undergraduate Curriculum Committee (UCC) is a standing external subcommittee of the Academic Senate charged with overall coordination of the Illinois State University undergraduate curriculum. Curriculum proposals that are part of general education and interdisciplinary studies will first be reviewed by the Council on General Education.

The Undergraduate Curriculum Committee, in conjunction with the Office of the University Registrar, manages the online Curriculum Forms System for proposals of new, revised, deleted, temporary, workshop and professional practice courses as well as new, revised and deleted programs. UCC Review of the Proposed Changes to the General Education Program - April 2024

The Council on General Education (CGE) voted to support the proposed changes to the general education curriculum as outlined in the submitted document. The Undergraduate Curriculum Committee (UCC) is the next step in the shared governance process. Per UCC procedures, the proposal for General Education Program revisions is being made available to the University community for comment. The proposal is available here and comments may be submitted to curriculum@ilstu.edu by April 23.
